Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter with WPDE-TV. She later became a morning news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases led to an State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the states authorities again releasing the strictest guidelines regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. After her time living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's reported on events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of shows that were pre-showarrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She also co-hosted for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
